CAREER / ATHLETIC ACHIEVEMENTS:
Before I started working at the WAC, I built partnerships with non-profits to provide personal training to disabled adults. The community of disabled adults has lacked services related to exercise, but for six years, I was able to bridge the gap between the community. At the same time, I hosted an exercise class that catered to the deaf population at The Pink House Studio on the east side of Milwaukee. In my current position with the WAC and with Small Stones Wellness Center Froedtert, I have had the privilege to support and train Cancer survivors who participated in the Empower Program.
The areas I have the most experience in, line up with my core values: care, compassion, coaching, and empowerment. Those core values have helped my clients transform their lives. I work best with clients who are beginning their fitness journey or who are stuck and need a push, as well as clients who enjoy a good sweaty workout. You can ask around; I am pretty good at kicking some butt!
I love walking my dog, Leo, on new trails in the summer months. I also enjoy playing golf and riding my bike. I am outdoors as much as I can be to find new physical activities from running hills, to rock climbing or jumping in a softball game. My family is my world, and I spend time with them as much as I can. Saving the best for last, I have two kitties who I adore, love and try to walk.
Start with a few small goals instead of several goals. By doing this, you avoid feeling overwhelmed by many changes all happening at once and giving up.
