Even though health and fitness take up quite a large part of my life, it isn't my whole life! Outside of that, I love to spend time with friends and family, enjoy being outdoors, cooking, seeing movies, reading, and catching up on my favorite shows.
To me fitness is not just about a physical change, but a mental change. Exercise, nutrition, and health can better your life in various aspects. I think of fitness and health as not only just going to the gym and working out, but practicing a healthy lifestyle in all parts of your day. Once you feel good about yourself mentally/internally, you can work on changing the outside. As well as that, I believe that no fitness style or routine is the BEST. It's all about finding a workout style you genuinely enjoy! As a trainer, I strive to have clients pick a type of workout that they like to do and will make them feel good, while also challenging themselves. Not every individual's body response is the same, and not all of our preferences for working out line up. Explore your options and discover a way to get active that you don't feel you need to do, but you want to do!
