Specialties
I believe I excel most in the cardio aspect of fitness. I have enjoyed running my entire life and find it to be the best form of natural stress relief for me. I ran my first marathon in April 2024, and since then, I have definitely caught the “bug.”
Interest/Hobbies
Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time outdoors. I love to hike, and my favorite hike so far was in the Black Hills of South Dakota. A few years ago, I went there with some friends, and we spent several days exploring the hills.
I also enjoy running, especially in new places. Being able to run somewhere unfamiliar definitely gives me a natural high. Beyond exercise, I also love to grill. In college, I bought a large flat-top grill and used it for Badger games, the Super Bowl, and other gatherings.
Philosophy
My biggest piece of advice when it comes to going to the gym is to stop overthinking it and just do it. Especially at a place like the WAC, you have an abundance of resources that not only help you get into the gym but also help you make it a habit. The phrase that really resonated with me was, “Stop waiting for tomorrow.” I live by that now, because why wait until tomorrow when you have today?
